Dear Friends of Labuan, First and foremost, the team and I sincerely wish this note finds you and your loved ones safe and well. We are working from home and it is business as usual; well as usual as it can be, under the unprecedented conditions we all find ourselves in. You might be aware Labuan IBFC’s community of intermediaries have banded together to set up a fund accepting pledges of cash and items for the benefit of the frontliners as well as the less fortunate on the island. This fund was set up by the Cross Industry Group and is managed jointly with Labuan FSA’s Senior Management to facilitate coordination with the local authorities towards effective disbursement of aid. As you can imagine, at a time of national crisis, whatever supplemental assistance on offer is greatly welcomed. If you would like to be part of this initiative, please do reach out directly to me at farah@libfc.com and I can share details of beneficiaries, the items our frontliners are lacking, how the fund is being managed, etc. and, most importantly, how you too can play your part in assisting Labuanites in need.
